A story of success is going to launch in Podersdorf in 2021
In early summer of 2021, the Burgenland tourism municipality of Podersdorf am See is to open its new season with a mega highlight. Sunkid’s Partner Almholz has planned a family experience world that covers 18,000 sqm. It will be unique in Austria.
The styrian company Almholz, which was awarded the ADAC tourism prize for the experience sphere Steinberg am See project this year, has been a long-term Sunkid partner. The two companies have cooperated in many stories of success before. The Podersdorf tourism association also found Almholz to be the ideal company for this 2.6 million Euro project.
The decision-makers in Podersdorf specified criteria such as uniqueness, innovation, reference to the region, and measures to extend the season as important prerequisites for this project. Almholz was able to meet all of these items in developing installations designed specifically for the site. The choice of materials and colours integrates perfectly into the environment.
The detailed planning and visualisation enabled Wolfgang Wild (MD of Almholz) to perfectly present and illustrate the world of experience with the 57-m-long motor skills climbing route, the wave-shaped wooden ball track, the 7-m-high sea lily and the wooden bird couple (both fully usable for play on the inside) to the decision-makers.
Mayor Michaela Wohlfart and the tourism association expect that this investment will draw an additional visitor number in excess of 100,000 to Podersdorf from March to November, as well as inspiring day guests to spend the night in Podersdorf in order to enjoy the entire world of experience to their hearts’ content. The Podersdorf mayor is certain that “in particular in difficult times like this year, a municipality must create the framework conditions and infrastructure to be set up well for the future!”
