Spring Valley Beach Water Park relies on new Sunkid conveyor belt
"Spring Valley Beach Water Park" is a family-owned and operated slide and adventure pool located in Blountsville, Alabama (USA) - a rural area near a spring break, about 60 minutes away from Birmingham and Huntsville, AL. It offers something for all ages and interests on about 10 acres: 11 action-packed water slides, the largest pool in the American Southeast, an exciting aquatic children's playground, and 20 rentable pavilion areas for grilling, picnicking, and relaxing.
A new attraction opened in the summer of 2023: "Double Tornado Wave" is a partially enclosed water slide for 4-person tubes with two huge banked turns. This is a slide design that the park had not previously offered and is designed to appeal to existing customers and new visitors alike.
The entire new attraction was designed and delivered by Proslide. To transport the Clover Leaf 4-seater tubes back to the starting point after the slide, a raft return conveyor from Sunkid is used - with a gradient of 44% over a length of 58 meters. Successful past projects together with the slide manufacturer as well as the excellently positioned sales and service network in the USA were among the decisive factors for the integration of the Sunkid conveyor belt into the overall system.
The ground staff in the pool helps the passengers to get off and pushes the tubes towards the conveyor belt. This picks up the tubes directly from the water - transporting them upwards is quick and safe. Further transport at the upper end of the conveyor belt is done by means of a gravity roller track.
Without heavy tubes, swimmers can now also easily and comfortably master the stair climb to the start. And that, after all, is fully in line with the positioning of the water park: "Fun for the whole family".
