The new Sunkid Mega Comfort Star relieves the bottlenecks of increasing family and beginner transportation in the practice area
In recent years, the Hochoetz ski area (AUT) has become a showcase ski resort for families. With the Widiversum, which opened in 2016 and has been continuously developed since then, Bergbahnen Hochoetz, in close cooperation with Sunkid, has succeeded in creating a showcase project in terms of family-friendly experience staging.
In order to cope with the increased number of visitors and at the same time to increase the comfort for the guests, a new lift was built this year with the Widi Lift, in the immediate vicinity of the Acherkogelbahn mountain station. The 100-meter-long Sunkid Mega Comfort Star was the first Sunkid small ski lift to be certified in accordance with the new ropeway regulations. As part of this process, Sunkid engineers also took the opportunity to implement further improvements and modernizations. In particular, the new automatic stirrup guides stand out. This automatically raises the stirrup when boarding, making boarding much easier. The operator also benefits from the convenience of being able to electrically raise the Mega Comfort Star to a height of up to 5 meters so that he can use the snow groomer to bring the lift track back into shape within a few minutes.
