Type-N conveyor belts replace existing systems in Tyrol's ski dimension Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis

For the 22/23 ski season, Seilbahn Komperdell GmbH, together with the Ski School Serfaus and the Tourist Association, replaced two Sunkid Moving Carpet systems, which had been in reliable service for a quarter of a century and had transported more than 6 million children during this time, with two brand new systems of the current "Type N" generation. Equipped with the innovative i-CONTROL® operating system and Evolus gallery, the customer and manufacturer are looking positively into a reliable future - for the next 25 years!

Below the Komperdell mid-station (2000 m), on the grounds of the Kinderschneealm, the two 21-meter Moving Carpet lifts transport the students of the Serfaus Ski School. As part of the "Team Ingo" area, the facilities ensure smooth all-day lessons for "kids with previous knowledge of plow skiing", who are to improve their skiing skills here in a fun way. Ascent carpets as well as "Teach & Learn" equipment from the Sunkid Sunny Stuff range, including the innovative Snow-V snow plow aid, provide additional fun and variety in the lessons.

The complete roofing by means of the new polycarbonate gallery "Evolus N" is a source of joy for both ski instructors and mountain railway personnel. In bad weather, this guarantees comfortable transport for young skiers and also keeps the deflection and drive station free of snow. At night and when not in use, the entire gallery can be closed off with tarpaulins at the entrance and exit.

Maximum safety is ensured, among other things, by the specially shaped cover for the double light barrier at the exit to prevent objects from getting caught, and by three emergency stop switches - at the beginning and end as well as in the middle of the gallery. Instead of rolling tarpaulins, the two new Moving Carpet lifts in Serfaus each have an easily opened "Slide Up Door" as an emergency exit, located at the side of the gallery.

The control cabinets of the conveyor belts are well protected under foam covers, while the operating terminals including HMI touch displays are integrated into the gallery arches. These allow basic operation of the equipment and setting of all functions and parameters. The displays also assist in performing regular checks and provide general info (e.g. operating hours and alarms) and assistance in the event of malfunctions (from operating instructions to remote maintenance).

And one more piece of good news at the end: For the upcoming ski season 23/24, another old installation in Serfaus will be exchanged for a new, 60-meter-long Type-N Sunkid Moving Carpet. We would like to express our sincere thanks for the trust placed in us by our long-standing customer.
